cosmile Terms of Service

cosmile is operated in South Korea by cosmile Co., Ltd. ("cosmile"), and is primarily intended for international users. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of cosmile (the shopping platform), whether through a website, mobile application, or any other means. By using cosmile, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully before using cosmile. These terms were updated on September 16, 2025, and will take effect from the official launch of the cosmile service.

1. Service Terms

cosmile provides users with shopping services. Before using cosmile, please read and understand all terms outlined in this agreement. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding this agreement, please contact our customer support via email. cosmile will clarify the terms for you.

If you do not agree with or do not fully understand the contents of this agreement, please do not proceed. By checking the agreement box on cosmile’s interface or otherwise accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood all provisions and agree to be bound by them. You must complete the registration process as prompted on the platform to become a cosmile member.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this agreement is to define the basic rights, obligations, and terms of service between cosmile and users when users access and use cosmile services.

3. Compliance with Law & Legal Effect

This agreement takes legal effect once the user accepts all the terms.

If cosmile reasonably believes that your actions, including statements or conduct, violate or may violate applicable laws and regulations, cosmile may terminate services to you at any time without prior notice.

cosmile may modify these Terms at any time. If changes are made, cosmile will notify users via the platform interface. The revised terms will include an effective date and explanation of changes and will be announced at least 7 days prior to becoming effective.

If you do not agree with the changes to the Terms, you have the right to stop using the services. Continued use of cosmile will be considered acceptance of the revised Terms.

4. Scope of Services

By using cosmile, users can view and purchase products sold by cosmile, including but not limited to skincare, cosmetics, health supplements, apparel, and jewelry.

cosmile offers a point system to reward shopping activity or participation in events. Points cannot be converted to cash, transferred, or used to redeem goods. There is currently no point redemption store; points are only a part of event or membership features.

cosmile does not currently offer a coupon system. All discounts are based on active promotions publicly announced on the platform.

cosmile includes a ranking feature to display user activity or purchase statistics, which is not used for behavior analysis or personalized recommendations. cosmile does not collect any location-based or behavioral data, and does not embed or use third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. User behavior data is not used for advertising or analysis.

• Account Registration & Security
  • Users must be at least 18 years old or of legal age in their country/region.
  • Users must provide accurate and truthful information and are responsible for account security.
  • Please contact us immediately if your account is used without authorization.
  • cosmile bears no responsibility for account issues caused by loss of user information.
  • Users may delete their accounts at any time. Once deleted, all data including orders and reviews will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
  • cosmile will retain a minimal registration record to prevent abuse of new-user promotions (e.g., points).
  • Re-registering with the same email will not entitle the user to new-user benefits.
  • Accounts are for personal use only and may not be shared, rented, or transferred.

• Product Information & Orders
  • cosmile primarily sells Korean products. We strive to provide accurate descriptions but cannot guarantee all information is error-free.
  • Product ingredients and materials are clearly listed. Users are responsible for confirming suitability for personal use.
  • cosmile is not liable for allergies or adverse reactions caused by product use.
  • Product descriptions and effects are for reference only and do not constitute medical advice.
  • Users may add shipping addresses before placing an order.
  • Orders and shipping details can be tracked within the app.
  • cosmile reserves the right to reject or cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud.
  • Repeated unjustified order rejections may lead to service restrictions.

• Payment & Pricing
  • Prices are final at the time of purchase and do not include taxes or duties unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments are processed at real-time exchange rates. cosmile is not responsible for exchange rate changes or additional fees from payment providers.
  • Payment methods include credit cards, PayPal, etc., and are processed by Tosspayments. Available methods may vary by country/region. Any provider change will be publicly announced.

• International Shipping & Customs
  • cosmile offers international delivery. Shipping fees and timelines depend on destination country.
  • Users are responsible for local customs duties and import taxes.
  • cosmile is not liable for delays or returns caused by customs.
  • Users must ensure accurate address input; cosmile is not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses.
  • Delays caused by force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions) are not cosmile’s responsibility.
  • If a return is caused by user error or refusal to accept delivery, cosmile may deduct shipping fees from the refund or refuse refunds.

• Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
  • Due to the nature of products (e.g., cosmetics, supplements), returns are only accepted for quality issues.
  • Report product issues within 3 days of receipt via customer support (contact available in order details).
  • Quality issues include severe damage, expired goods, or incorrect items, but do not include dissatisfaction with scent, color, or minor packaging defects.
  • Return shipping fees depend on the situation and must be discussed with customer support.
  • Refunds are processed via the original payment method. Processing time may vary. cosmile is not responsible for refund delays caused by local regulations.
  • Refunds are issued only after the returned item is received. Fraudulent claims (e.g., item swaps, falsified damage) may result in refusal of refund and user account restrictions.

5. User Obligations

When using cosmile services, users must:

• Register with a Google, Apple, or email account.

• Comply with local laws and regulations.

• Not use cosmile for unlawful purposes.

• Follow all internet-related rules and policies.

• Not upload or transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, vulgar, defamatory, discriminatory, or obscene content.

• Not engage in activities that disrupt internet security or platform operation.

• Not conduct behavior detrimental to cosmile.

• Not verbally abuse or harass customer service. Violators may face legal action in accordance with Korean labor laws.

• Accounts may be suspended or terminated if these rules are violated.

6. Rights & Responsibilities of cosmile

Except in special circumstances (e.g., law enforcement cooperation), cosmile commits to protecting users' personal information and will not disclose it without user consent. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for more details.

cosmile may modify or terminate the point/coupon system. Abusive behavior (e.g., bulk registrations, exploiting system bugs) may result in cancellation of benefits.

Malicious complaints or reviews may lead to account suspension and legal action.

cosmile commits to not using third-party tracking SDKs or collecting behavioral data. We respect and protect your privacy. See our Privacy Policy for more.

cosmile currently does not provide community functions, and users cannot directly interact or post content.

7. Intellectual Property

All technical components, programs, and pages (including designs and content) on cosmile are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be used without authorization.

cosmile content (texts, images, trademarks, etc.) is protected under copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution for commercial use is prohibited.

8. Disclaimers

cosmile prohibits the creation, transmission, or publication of pornographic, violent, or obscene content. Violations may result in account termination and legal liability.

We strive for stable service but are not liable for interruptions caused by force majeure (e.g., network issues, regulatory changes). Losses from user actions (e.g., account leaks) are not our responsibility.

cosmile is a sales platform. Disputes between users and brands or logistics providers do not affect cosmile’s operations, and cosmile is not liable.

All payments are processed by Tosspayments. cosmile is not responsible for payment process security or refund handling by third parties.

9. Changes, Suspension, or Termination of Service

cosmile may temporarily suspend services for system maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies. Advance notice will be given where possible.

If cosmile chooses to cease operations, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via in-app announcement, explaining the reason and next steps.

cosmile is not liable for any loss due to service suspension caused by force majeure but will endeavor to minimize the impact.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of South Korea.

• Disputes should be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, they shall be submitted to a court in South Korea.

11. Amendments to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on the cosmile platform.

• Continued use of cosmile after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
